Random desert facts

Not all deserts are hot the desert I live in gets really cold in the winter it often does get to the freezing temperatures but it is too dry to snow exactly where I live but a little farther up north it will snow a little especially in places with higher altitudes
 
A rattlesnakes rattle is a warning if you hear the rattle they usually won't immediately attack so what you need to do is look at the snake and slowly walk backwards to get away from it you cannot outrun it making any sudden movements will scare it and it will attack but for the most part they don't want to eat you and would like to be left alone but it's better to avoid this altogether a rattlesnake might not always let you leave and it might attack so always watch where you are going rattlesnake anti-venom is extremely rare and difficult to get
 
Deserts sometimes have wildfires the dry hot climate is perfect condition for extreme fires that can burn a lot of land but the desert also floods easily due to the hard dry ground not always soaking up water quickly so we get both extremes due to a dry and hot climate
 
Don't ever wear all black clothes during the middle of the day you will get extremely hot you probably won't sweat as it's too dry but you will burn easily no one is safe from the sun and because we don't have very many trees there is not that much shade to keep yourself safe wear clothes that are not black and never fall onto the road you will cook it gets extremely hot during the summer stay safe drink water and if you have to wear sunscreen
 
Wear long sleeves in the desert it won't really make you hot and it protects you from the sun and if you do feel it makes you hot wear thin clothes but try and keep out of the sun and in the shade especially in the summer and always make sure there is water just keep hydrated and try and stay cool
 
Don't ration out water if you get stranded in the desert you will dehydrate faster always keep in the shade and when the sun sets wear multiple layers as it gets cold the extreme change in temperature comes with a lot of problems be sure to stay safe
