English as a second language

Many new users looking for friends have no idea that only English can be spoken here. Quite a few have English as their second language and are hesitant with it.

Someone should explain this to the mod neo-sama who gives no warning or explanation but just arrogantly kicks the new user.

This is unacceptable in a place which is supposed to be friendly...it can be very upsetting to a newcomer.

There ain't such a rule which mentions that users have to communicate in English before entering into the site, but after entering the site, there is a link "Welcome to Kids Chat Sherlock! If you haven't already please read the rules of the chat: https://www.kidschat.net/forums/threads/kidschat-rules." which automatically takes u to the forums section and there's how every rule is elaborated in detail.... (I wish if I could be able to paste that image ;-;)

As Shreyansh said, there is quite literally a pop up that says “Welcome to Kids Chat (your username)! If you haven't already please read the rules of the chat: https://www.kidschat.net/forums/threads/kidschat-rules.1527/ We do not tolerate illegal activity here. Overaged users will be treated as predators. Violations are subject to the referral to law enforcement.” If you choose to ignore it, that’s on you.

There are multiple instances where you are told to read the rules. EX: taken from the site homepage, “We welcome all boys and girls. There are some chat room rules you MUST agree to first before proceeding. ”
“Read and follow all the kids and teen chat rules before proceeding. Our moderators will be watching to make sure these rules are enforced.”

I am perfectly aware of the rules Sherlock.
A mod needs to give a warning or even an explanation to newcomers who struggle with English as their new language. Just kicking them immediately is an abuse of power and extremely nasty. If neo-sama cannot understand this, she is not suitable as a mod.

Well a 5 minute kick seems like a warning to me! ^_^ It stays as 5 minutes as well, if you keep getting a kick saying "English only" , then surely they should have the braincells to translate it to see what they are doing wrong rather than staying confused. I'm not taking the time to just warn every single person to "speak english" when the rules state you can only speak English. That's their problem, not mine, I'm doing my job correctly.

That's a matter of opinion....certainly not mine.

Well then, I am going to keep doing as I'm doing since I haven't been doing anything genuinely wrong, mods do not have to warn by the way. I do warn a lot of people actually but when it's early in the morning for me, I do not have the patience for that and am just clearing reports/rule breakers.

And now you have taken your revenge by kicking me for no reason for 2 hours. You are a nasty, vindictive person who is totally unsuitable to be a mod or have any position of responsibility.

Lol? You were catfishing your age as a 14 year old boy when your main account says 16. You just proved my kick being correct, maybe don't break the rules?

I was not catfishing...I am not so childish. I was assisting law enforcement in catching a predator and because of your stupidity, he got away.
You are not only nasty and vindictive, you are totally stupid. If you have a brain, it must be very lonely.

Not my stupidity, just the rules! Baiting is allowed as long as you use your correct age, you can always just hide your age too you know. For someone who has been here for a while, you clearly don't understand the rules that well to be calling me stupid. Calling me names won't get you anywhere either.

You would not have the faintest idea about baiting as you have just demonstrated. Not the faintest idea. And thank you for destroying a golden opportunity to put a predator away.
Saying nothing would be your best course of action. I will not waste one more minute of my time talking to someone like you.

Okay then, just following the rules, lovely talking to you!

English is not my first language and I still try to speak it on here. Please try your best :3

I believe a 5-minute kick with the issue told to a user in the reason box is good enough of a warning to make a person grasp the fact that it is English only on the main chat
