Kids Chat Rules and Regulations

Welcome to Kids Chat. You're in the right place if you love engaging in a variety of discussions with other teenagers and older kids! To make your experience safe and enjoyable, please read the tips and rules below.

Age and Language Requirements:

• 13 - 19 only. Anyone not within this age range will be permanently banned, removed, and possibly reported to law enforcement..
• You must register for an account in order to access certain features. Guest users are limited in features.
• English only in main chat (use other languages in private messages).

Respect and Behavior

• Be respectful - no hate speech, slurs, discrimination, or insults.
• Use the built-in Ignore feature if you encounter unpleasant users.
• No disruptive behavior: No spamming, trolling, excessive caps, or bullying.

Safety & Privacy

• The internet is not always a safe place. Be cautious and think twice before sharing personal information, as it can easily fall into the wrong hands.
• No doxing or posting other's private information. Even if they allow it, we do not.
• Generally speaking we do not allow VPNs/Proxy to access our chat rooms. Most of them are blocked by our internal systems. Your information is always kept safe and we only require limited information to participate. There is no need to use a VPN or Proxy. We will only share your information with law enforcement, if requested.
• No advertising or promoting socials, other websites, products, or any other services.
• No impersonating or exploiting minors - ever.
• Report violating chat messages using our in-chat reporting tools.
• Personal information is not allowed to be given out to others. We will either warn, kick or ban you for sharing personal identifying information to others. We do not allow the sharing of social media accounts. • You will not be able to have private chats with other users unless you enter your age and register as a user. Guests can only speak in the public chats.

Content Guidelines (User Generated Content)

• Keep content PG-13: No explicit sexual discussions, drug talk, or roleplaying.
• No nudity or explicit imagery in your profile or media uploads. Our software blocks such images through AI moderation and hashtag controls. If you do happen to see any nude content, please report it to us immediately for prompt removal.
• Screenshots are okay - just don't use them to troll or bully.
• Avoid flashing/strobing, hate symbols, or attacking others with media.
• No offensive GIFs, memes, images, drawings or voice memos: Avoid anything violent, hateful, or sexually explicit.
• Don't use banned slurs or bring up sensitive topics like rape, self-harm, or suicide.
• We reserve the right to report any messages or other content you post to your local law enforcement or registered national agencies such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC)

Profiles and Usernames

• Keep usernames and profile content appropriate and readable.
• Don't change your username while muted.
• No under-13 images in your profile.
• Multiple accounts: No evading rules or actions by using extra accounts.
• This chat utilizes AI moderation to detect profile and background picture uploads. It is not 100% accurate and you may see some false positives or false negatives. We encourage our community in assisting to report profile pictures that violate our rules.

Discussion Topics

• Any topic is allowed as long as it does not violate any of the rules outlined on this page.
• Politics/Religion: Feel free to discuss but respect others and move the conversation to PMs, if asked by a moderator.

VIP Upgrade

• VIP status does not exempt users from rules. Mutes, kicks, and bans still apply.
• Illegal acquisition of VIP or Gold (including hacking and exploiting our systems) will result in an immediate ban.
• The same above rules and guidelines apply for all VIP features including drawing, voice memo and audio call features.

Report Illegal Content and Other Rules Violations

• We staff human moderators to monitor user generated content.
• Our application automatically blocks illegal content (CSAM) and we will file reports to necessary law enforcement and/or child protection agencies, if necessary.
• This chat room has built in tools to report illegal content and rules violators directly to our moderators. Beside each message there will be 3 little dots. Click that in order to report the message. You can also report a profile by clicking the Flag icon on his/her profile.
• You can also report violations by directly contacting a moderator who is active in the chat room by private message. They will have a shield icon beside their name and will be at the top of userlist.
• If there are any signs of grooming attempts by other users, please report them using our reporting tools. Chat messages are automatically removed frequently by our systems for safety reasons.

Rules Enforcement

• Repeat offenders of even minor infractions will also be banned.
• All moderator directions must be followed.
• Harassment of moderators will not be tolerated.
